Release Published Version 0.34.0

The price cap is now $390 a month, and owners can run more of the studio in Nixie.

The most a studio pays for Nixie has dropped from $1,400 a month to $390. This release also adds forms, branding, email templates, request routing, staff roles, hiring and multi-studio sign-in. Nothing is required of you.

Nixie is dance studio management software for Australian studio owners. This update covers what changed for the business side of a studio between 22 September and 2 October 2026.

The price: $9 a student, capped at $390 a month

The price is still $9 for each enrolled student each month, GST included. The cap was $1,400 and is now $390. It applies from 44 students.

  • A studio of 30 students pays $270 a month.
  • A studio of 140 students pays $390 a month, which is $2.79 a student.
  • A studio of 412 students pays $390 a month, which is $0.95 a student.

Email to families is included. SMS is an add-on at 9.9c a message. Your payment provider bills its own fees to you directly. Work out the price for your studio.

New for studio owners

  • Forms and plans. Build an enrolment or trial form, publish it at its own address and read the submissions in Nixie.
  • Your studio’s branding. Add your logo, business details and location. Messages to families carry your studio’s name and logo.
  • Email templates. A library of studio messages with merge fields for each family, a preview of each recipient’s copy and a log of what was delivered.
  • Request routing. Incoming requests, such as a class change, follow rules you set and arrive with a drafted reply for a person to approve.
  • Staff roles. The staff directory is separate from administration. What a staff member can open follows their role, and changes to staff records are kept in a history that cannot be edited.
  • Hiring. Publish a staff application form and review applicants under Hire.
  • More than one studio. One sign-in covers several studios, with a default studio and a switcher between them.
  • Phones and tablets. Studio menus and pages now fit phone and tablet screens.
Payments are not charged through Nixie yet

Invoices, payment settings and direct debit records are in Nixie. Taking card payments through Nixie is not connected yet, so keep using your current payment provider.

What you have to do
