Owner sign-in has moved onto Nixie itself.
The Control Room now has its own sign-in. Enter your email address and Nixie sends a six-digit code. Nothing is required of you beyond using the new page.
Signing in to the owner portal at control.nixiedance.com used to send you to a sign-in page on another site, then send you back. That step is gone. The sign-in page is now part of Nixie.
How it works
- Enter the owner email address on the Control Room sign-in page.
- Nixie emails a six-digit code to that address.
- Enter the code. You are signed in.
The code lasts ten minutes and works once. Using it consumes it, so a code sitting in a forwarded email or an open inbox is worth nothing after you have signed in. Request another if it expires.
A code is only sent to an address already recognised as an owner address. Entering any other address does not create an account and does not send a code. Studio and family accounts are unaffected by this change, and sign in as they always have.
Why the code expires in ten minutes
A sign-in code is only useful for as long as it takes to read an email and type six digits. Ten minutes covers that with room to spare. Beyond that the code is only a risk, so it stops working.
What you have to do
Nothing. Go to control.nixiedance.com as usual. If you have the old sign-in page bookmarked, replace the bookmark with the Control Room address itself.
